About
Purpose-built broadcast software
for sim racing.
PitLane Systems builds tools that give a single operator the situational awareness and production control of a full TV broadcast team — starting with Assetto Corsa league racing.
The story
Born from a real problem.
PitLane started at Longhorn Sim Racing at UT Austin, where the broadcast team was producing live race coverage every weekend with OBS, manual camera switching, and a mouse cursor visible on stream. The tools didn't exist. So we built them.
Real motorsport has purpose-built broadcast director software — a single interface with integrated camera direction, event detection, and production control. Sim racing had nothing comparable. PitLane Director fills that gap.
The product is built by Gray, a computer science student at UT Austin, co-founder and CTO of Longhorn Sim Racing, and telemetry software engineer with Longhorn Racing. He saw the problem firsthand and decided to solve it properly rather than work around it.
