PitLane Director AC is a broadcast director tool for Assetto Corsa. It gives you a complete race production room in one application. A live leaderboard, AI-powered camera direction, professional broadcast overlays, and OBS integration, all running alongside AC on your broadcast PC.

How it works
PitLane runs as a separate application alongside Assetto Corsa on the same PC. It reads race data through two channels.
- The CSP Lua sidecar, a small app that runs inside AC via Custom Shaders Patch. It streams every car's data to PitLane over a local connection, ten times per second, and carries camera commands back. PitLane deploys it automatically once you set your AC install path.
- AC SharedMemory, which provides deep telemetry for the currently spectated car.
Nothing gets installed on other players' machines. PitLane works entirely from the broadcaster's PC, with no driver buy-in required.
Overlays are served as web pages on localhost:9100 and reach your stream through OBS browser sources. The scene wizard sets that up in one click.
Getting around the app
The main screens are workspace tabs, like a browser. Director, Full Leaderboard, Event Log, Overlay Library, and Setup. A fresh install opens with Director and Setup, and the rest open from View > Workspaces. Tabs can be reordered, and the Full Leaderboard and Event Log can be torn off into their own windows for a second monitor. See Workspaces & Windows.
PitLane has four menus, and nearly every control in the app lives under one of them. A few runtime actions, such as jumping straight to a numbered OBS scene, live only in the Hotkeys tab and the command palette.

Settings live in a single window (File > Settings...) with tabs down the left. Setup, Detection, Director, Broadcaster, Overlays, OBS, Hotkeys, Appearance, and Privacy. Everything applies instantly. There is no Save button.
Almost any command can be given a keyboard shortcut, and the command palette (Ctrl+K) reaches all of them by typing. Two shortcuts are fixed, F11 for fullscreen and Ctrl+Shift+D for the console. See Camera & Hotkeys.
The Setup tab
The first time you run PitLane, it opens on the Setup tab. Setup shows your whole broadcast pipeline as a live diagram, teaches each piece in a few sentences, and runs a checklist that ticks itself as things connect. Follow it top to bottom and you end broadcast-ready. The pages below cover the same ground in more depth.
