  • AI Director that automatically picks the best camera angles based on race action
  • 10 broadcast overlays (5 Advanced Broadcast overlays + 5 customizable templates) served to OBS as browser sources
  • OBS WebSocket integration for scene switching, recording control, and browser source refresh
  • Camera controls with keyboard shortcuts and a visual toolbar
  • Events feed that detects overtakes, battles, incidents, pit stops, and fastest laps in real time

System requirements

ComponentRequirement
Operating systemWindows 10 or later
Assetto CorsaInstalled with Content Manager

OBS StudioRequired for streaming/recording with overlays (version 28+ for WebSocket v5)
Internet connectionRequired for activation and update checks. Not required during races — the app works offline once activated.

How it works

PitLane runs as a separate application alongside Assetto Corsa on the same PC. It reads race data through two channels:

  1. CSP Lua sidecar — a small script that runs inside AC via Custom Shaders Patch, sending all car data to PitLane over a local network connection at 10 times per second. This is deployed automatically when you set your AC install path in PitLane.
  2. AC SharedMemory — Windows shared memory that provides deep telemetry for the currently spectated car.

You don't need to install anything on other players' machines. PitLane works entirely from the broadcaster's PC — no driver buy-in required.

Overlays are served as web pages on localhost:9100 and displayed in your stream via OBS browser sources.
