Installation

Download

Download the PitLane Director AC installer from your account dashboard at pitlanesystems.com/dashboard. You'll need an active subscription to access the download.

The installer is a single .exe file, approximately 107 MB.

Windows SmartScreen warning

When you run the installer, Windows may show a "Windows protected your PC" warning with the publisher listed as "Unknown Publisher." This is expected — the application is not yet signed with a code signing certificate.

To proceed:

1. Click More info
2. Click Run anyway

This warning will appear once during installation. After that, the app launches normally.

Installer walkthrough

The installer will walk you through a few steps:

1. License agreement — read and accept the End User License Agreement
2. Install location — choose where to install (default is fine for most users)
3. Installation — files are copied to your chosen location
4. Finish — a desktop shortcut is created automatically

First launch

After installation, launch PitLane Director AC from the desktop shortcut or Start Menu.

On first launch, you'll see the activation window — a sign-in screen where you'll enter your account credentials. See Activation & Account for details.

Updating

PitLane checks for updates automatically when the app starts. If a new version is available, you'll see a prompt asking if you'd like to download it. Updates are downloaded in the background and installed the next time you quit the app — they won't interrupt an active broadcast.

Uninstalling

To uninstall, use Windows Settings > Apps > PitLane Director AC > Uninstall, or run the uninstaller from the install directory.

Uninstalling removes the application files but does not delete your settings or the Lua sidecar from your AC installation.
