PitLane Director AC requires an active subscription to use. Your subscription is managed through your account at pitlanesystems.com.
Signing in
On first launch (or if your session has expired), PitLane shows an activation window. Enter the email and password you used to create your account on the website.
If activation succeeds, the main application opens automatically.
Subscription required
If your account doesn't have an active subscription, the activation window will show a message:
Your account is ready — you just need an active subscription to continue.
Click Subscribe at pitlanesystems to open the subscription page in your browser. After subscribing, return to the app and click Try again to sign in.
Device limit
Your subscription plan allows activation on a limited number of devices. If you've reached your device limit, the activation window will let you know:
You're already activated on the maximum number of devices for your plan.
Click Manage devices to open your dashboard in the browser, where you can deactivate old devices to free up a slot. Then return to the app and try again.
Each installation of PitLane generates a unique device identifier. Reinstalling the app creates a new device — you can remove the old one from your dashboard.
Offline use
Once signed in, PitLane caches your session locally for 30 days. During that time, the app works without an internet connection — important for race events where network access may be unreliable.
When you're online, the app silently refreshes your session in the background on each launch.
If your session expires and you're offline, you'll need to reconnect to the internet and sign in again.
Viewing your account
In the app, go to Settings > Account to see:
- Your signed-in email address
- Subscription status (active or inactive)
- A link to manage your subscription on the website
Signing out
To sign out, go to Settings > Account and click Sign out. You'll be asked to confirm — signing out closes the app and clears your cached session. The next time you launch, you'll need to sign in again.
